I have found the transition from being a CAD/ADT based designer to sketchup to be very difficult. Instead of thinking about elements within the building I have to conceptualize every element solely as its skin. On the other hand, I've found Revit to be much more approachable. Yet, the financial difference between the two makes Sketchup the more attractive option.
