Kochi Architect's Studio - House kn

This 1,850 sq. ft. Kanagawa, Japan residence caught my eye with it's interior courtyard (see azuma house and poustinia posts) and terrace above. The angled walls surrounding the house give the outside observer the feeling of 'sneaking a peek' at what's taking place inside. Very nice.

That's a beautiful angle on the courtyard wall. It's very different, but have you seen Jesse Judd's 'Wheatsheaf' house in Australia? It has a 'wrap' effect that also shields the house from view from some angles - almost like being rolled up in a leaf ...
